GUIDELINES FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION AND PRESENTATIONS

1. Each participant may submit a maximum of 2 (two) abstracts as main author. Abstracts must be submitted in the participant area.

2. After submission the author will receive a confirmation by e-mail. So please make sure that your e-mail is correct.

3. After abstract submission there will not be allowed to insert or change names of authors, co-authors, institutions or the text.

4. Studies involving humans, animals or plants must indicate the approval number of the Research Ethics Committee.

5. There will be no refund of the amount paid for registration if the work is not accepted.

6. The honorable mentions will be awarded to the three best works.

7. The abstracts will be published in the Annals of the event and can be accessed online.

The deadline for abstract submission is November 10 th of 2018 at 11:59 pm.

The confirmation of the registration will be made only upon payment of the registration fee. The submission and return of the Abstracts corrected by the authors will follow the schedule below.

The authors must indicate the form of presentation and the area of the work (Pharmaceutical Assistance, Pharmacology, Phytochemistry, Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Technology, Biotechnology).

LANGUAGE AND SUBMISSION

All abstracts must be submitted in ENGLISH language using the online submission form in the website, saved as “.doc” (word document compatible).


ABSTRACT FORMAT STRUCTURE

  • The abstract must be written in just one page, with up to 2500 characters in total (introduction, aim, methods, results and conclusion) including single spaces in the text; but not including title, authors, keywords, acknowledgments and references. Non-standard or uncommon abbreviations should be avoided.
  • Abstract Title: The title must be clear and objective, typed in CAPITAL LETTERS.
  • Authors : The names must be written in full, using semi commas between each author. Indicate their affiliations with numbers, following the author’s name and in front of the appropriate e-mail address.
  • Affiliations : Laboratory, institution (organization), city and state.
  • Keywords : Please, provide three keywords to identify your abstract.
  • Text : Introduction, aim, methods, results and conclusion. The text should be justified, with simple spacing between lines. Authors should be aware that figures and tables should not be included in the abstract.

  • Financial support must be declared in last line of the abstract.
  • References- Maximum of five references.

PRESENTATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. It is author responsibility to check the date, local and time of their presentation. This information will be published in the website.

2. Presentations will not be allowed on other days/times than those stipulated in the previously disclosed list.

3. During all the time of poster sessions, the participant must remain with your poster. During this period members of the Scientific Committee will evaluate the work.

4. At the end of the Poster session, the presenters must remove the posters. Otherwise it will be removed by the Organizing Committee. The works will be available in the Secretary of the Event until 7 pm of November 26th, 2018. Unseen posters will be destroyed by the Commission. The Organizing Committee of the Event is not responsible for any damages in posters.

ORAL PRESENTATIONS

Speakers are required to prepare a 10 minutes presentation, with slides that must be prepared in English language. Sessions will be conducted by the chairman, and the speakers will be allowed to present, free of interruption, for the allocated time slot, allowing for 4 minutes of questions at the end. Presenters will be requested to submit their PowerPoint® presentation sending to the e-mail seminario.pcfuem@gmail.com until 20th November 2018 6:00 PM.

Poster and presentation slides must be prepared in ENGLISH language. Poster size must be 0.90 x 1.20 m (width x height).
